A Teaspoon and a Bit

FRUIT SMOOTHIE

Fruit smoothies are a simple, healthy drink that anyone can make at home. They are so changeable and can be made with any fruits or juice and can contain as little or as many of these ingredients as you like.

Here is my go to Smoothie when that thirst quench hits me hard in the middle of the day.

Ingredients:

  • About half a cup to a cup of any sort of juice (we used pine orange)
  • Around the same amount of milk
  • 1 banana
  • A good handful of frozen mixed berries (this makes the smoothie both thick and ice cold)
  • A few extra strawberries (because we wanted that strawberry flavour, yo)
  • A big ol' scoop of any type of yogurt (we used vanilla because we're boring)

Instructions:

  1. Cut up strawberries/bananas and any other solid ingredients you are using and place them all in your blender. (Be sure to put in solids before the liquids because you don't want to get that splashback)
  2. Scoop in your yogurt and be sure to leave some on the spoon to eat afterwards. After all, if you don't eat some ingredients while cooking are you really cooking?
  3. Carefully pour in your milk and juice (in any order you wish)
  4. BONUS INSTRUCTION! For a more milky smoothie use more milk!
  5. Pop that lid on the blender and get blendin'
  6. Pour into a glass with a strawberry on the edge for bonus points

Recipe Notes:

  • Drink by the pool for maximum enjoyment (if you can't find a pool, use a bath)
